Engine and Transmission
The powertrain options for the five-door Thar will be the same as those for the off-three-door roader’s counterpart, but slightly retuned: a 2-litre turbo-petrol and a 2.2-litre diesel engine. These engines should be available with both a six-speed manual transmission and an automatic transmission. The new Thar may not come standard with 4WD, but it may have an inexpensive 2WD alternative.
