Tata Motors starts accepting bookings for tata Altroz CNG

Indian carmaker Tata Motors has begun accepting bookings for its CNG-powered premium hatchback, the Altroz. Interested buyers can book the car with a token amount of Rs. 21,000 and deliveries are expected to commence this month. Leaked brochure images have revealed new details about the Altroz i-CNG ahead of its price announcement.


According to a leaked brochure, the Altroz CNG will be offered in six variants – XE, XM+, XM+ (S), XZ, XZ+ (S), and XZ+ O (S). The XM+ (S), XZ+ (S), and XZ+ O (S) variants of the car will feature an electrically adjustable sunroof with a voice assist function. This will make the Altroz CNG the first CNG-powered hatchback to have a sunroof.

In addition to this, the Altroz CNG will also have other features such as automatic headlamps, cruise control, six airbags, automatic climate control, and rear AC vents. The car will also come with a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment unit that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, a four-inch digital instrument cluster, a wireless charger, and steering-mounted controls, among other things.

The Altroz CNG will be powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine with a twin-cylinder CNG kit. The engine can produce 85bhp and 113Nm of torque in petrol mode and 76bhp and 97Nm of torque in CNG mode. The car will only have a five-speed manual transmission.
